These would look better on a bed than the blackout variety.

read moreVery nice, with space to be quilted with a motif based on some of the blocks in the project file.
I like the second design, which has a little less space for quilting, but I like the small applique designs on some of the blocks.
read moreI haven’t opened this project file for quite some time, and had forgotten just how effective some applique designs could be if treated as a cut out using the outline of the design only.
The hardest part would be choosing the background fabric, and then the contrast for the shapes.

I would never have thought of using floral applique block designs without also using colours. I am not sure how I managed to remove all the colours from a quilt top, but I rather liked the effect, and I have one of these on my list of quilts I want to make. Hardest part will be choosing the background colour!
